Egypt, France sign €1.7 billion financing deals

Egypt has signed on Sunday €1.7 billion ($2.06 billion) worth of financing deals with France to fund projects in sectors of transportation, infrastructure, electricity, and wholesale sectors.

Of that funding, €776 million will be from the French government and €990 million from the French Development Agency (AFD), the Egyptian cabinet said in a statement.
