Women comprise 42% of Careem Egypt employees

Women comprise 42 percent of the ride-hailing firm Careem Egypt’s total staff, equivalent to 284 female employees, the company said in a statement on Monday.

The company is working to meet its commitment on enhancing gender balance by increasing the women representation in leadership and senior management roles.

Gender equality is an integral part of Careem Egypt’s corporate culture, representing a fundamental basis for promoting diversity and inclusiveness, said its general manager Haitham Essam.
