Egypt’s exports of ready-made garment decline 20% in 9M

Egyptian exports of ready-made garments decreased by 20 percent during the first 9 months to reach $1.01 billion, compared with $1.26 billion during the same period a year earlier, according to the Ready-Made Garments Export Council (RMGEC) report

The sector’s exports witnessed a growth in September to record $142 million increasing by 21 percent when compared to a month earlier, where it recorded $117 million.

The report also mentioned that Q3 witnessed a remarkable improvement in the value of exports compared to Q2 and Q1, on the resumption of global trade and exports movements after it was disrupted due to coronavirus pandemic
