IKEA, the Swedish home furniture and accessories brand, announced on Wednesday it will inaugurate a permanent branch in Sixth October City within March 2021.
In an online event held Wednesday, attended by Ahram Online, IKEA launched its 2021/2020 online catalogue for the first time in Egypt that includes discounts on more than 1,000 products and showcasing more than 1,700 new products.
It also launched its first of a kind mobile app that allows clients to control pieces within their homes remotely using their mobiles.
Thomas Surgy, head of IKEA Egypt, said 2020 is a hard year for IKEA’s business around the globe, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but with digital transformation solutions the company managed to surmount immediate challenges.
