Egyptian insurance sector’s premiums likely to fall 15% in FY21 due to coronavius

The premiums of Egypt’s insurance sector is expected to decline between 15-20 percent within the 2020/2021 financial year due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a senior official.

Alaa El Zoheiry, chairman of Insurance Federation of Egypt, said on Tuesday the coronavirus negatively affected some insurance branches nationwide.
