Egyptian Life Takaful- GIG issues 78 collective policies in nine months

Egyptian Life Takaful Company (GIG) issued new collective policies to around 78 clients during the first nine months of the 2019/2020 financial year, said its managing director on Thursday.

GIG is currently covering more than 16,000 clients, with a total sum insured of 1.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($74.1 million), Ramah Asaad told Amwal Al Ghad.

“We posted total premiums worth 472 million pounds during the first nine months of the current financial year 2019/2020,” Asaad said.

The company paid compensation estimated at 257 million pounds during the first nine months of this year, he added.

“Our strategy focuses on maximizing premium portfolio up to 700 million during the current financial year 2019/2020,” Assad concluded.
