Egypt-US trade exchange declines 29.9 % in two months: CAPMAS

The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the US hits $ 906.308 million within two months against $1.287 billion in the corresponding period in 2019 declining by 29.9 percent, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

CAPMAS said Egypt’s exports to the US stood at $251.360 during January and February against $326.756million in the same period in 2018, at a 19.9 percent decline

Egyptian imports to the US recorded $654.948 million in two months, obtaining 6.1 percent of imports in comparison with $959.90 million during the same period in 2019.

US captures 5.6 percent of the total value of Egyptian foreign trade during the first two months of this year. The trade balance between the two countries is in the interest of America by about $ 403.588 million.
