Egypt’s coronavirus cases pass 2,500, 5 new deaths

The number of coronavirus cases in Egypt topped 2,500 on Wednesday, the health ministry said, reporting 155 new infections.

The total number of cases rose to 2,505. The North African country also reported five new deaths linked to the novel coronavirus pandemic, bringing the total to 183, according to the ministry statement.

Meanwhile, the total number of the fully-recovered cases rose to 553 on Wednesday, all have been discharged from isolation hospitals, it added.
