Egypt sends medical supplies to help Italy battle coronavirus

Egypt has sent on Saturday morning a planeload of medical supplies, including sanitary materials and protective suits, to Italy to help it deal with its ongoing coronavirus crisis.
A planeload of medical supplies, including sanitary materials and protective suits, sent by Egypt to help Italy contain the coronavirus has arrived in Rome on Saturday morning.
Egyptian Minister of Health Hala Zayed has headed a delegation to Italy to provide the medical assistance.
As part of efforts to help allies in all possible channels, Egypt has sent two aircrafts of medical supplies to Italy, presidency spokesman Bassem Rady said.
In late March, Egypt sent 1.5 million medical masks to Italy.
Italy is the world’s second hardest-hit country by the coronavirus pandemic. To date, the European country has reported more than 119,827 cases and over 14,681 deaths, overtaking China–the epicentre of the outbreak.
