The Egyptian Tax Authority said that it is extending the season for filing tax returns for natural persons to 9 April from 31 March.

This move is in line with the government’s efforts to curb the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), the authority’s head Reda Abdel Kader said in a statement on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the tax authority announced the cancellation of fees on online tax services for individuals.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that the total number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rose to 210, including 28 recoveries and six deaths.
