Eight Egyptian real estate and construction companies are looking to establish a major administrative and commercial area in Sixth of October City, 38km (23.6 miles) from the centre of Cairo.
The area will include a bunch of educational activities, including large-scale schools, hospitals, administrative buildings and commercial malls, Mahmoud Maghawry, chairman of El Shams for Housing and Development said on Monday.
“The eight firms are expected to reach a deal soon to develop an administrative and commercial project in Sixth of October City over 50 feddans,” Maghawry told Amwal Al Ghad.
The firms along with a housing association affiliated to the country’s state-run Holding Co. for Construction and Development (HCCD) own the land plot, he added.
Egyptian construction company Al-Abd and El Mahmoudia General Contracting and Real Estate Investment own 8 feddans and 18 feddans, respectively, in the targeted project.
