Four insurance companies are competing to win an insurance policy tender launched by General Authority For National Cultural Center – Cairo Opera House, said sources on Monday.
Cairo Opera House launched a policy tender designed to insure its buildings and fleet vehicles, with a total sum insured of 1.8 billion Egyptian pounds.
The five insurers competing to win the tender are Misr Insurance, AXA insurance, Egyptian Takaful Insurance, Wethaq Takaful Insurance-Egypt, and Misr Takaful Insurance, a source told Amwal Al Ghad.
The policy includes coverage of risks related to fire, theft along with additional risks.
The additional risks include coverage of explosion and fire caused by self-ignition, in addition to the dangers resulting from the services of firefighters during their resistance to the fire, in addition to the dangers of lightning strikes.
The policy also included covering the natural hazards to which the assets of the General Authority of the National Cultural Center are exposed, including the risks of earthquakes, storms, floods and torrents, as well as covering the civil liability towards others.
