Four Egyptian private-sector construction companies have won a mandate to execute the first phase of a public-private partnership (PPP) housing flagship in Alexandria governorate, according to sources.
Named as Sawary, the project will be built on an area of more than 400 feddans, sources with knowledge operating in the construction companies told Amwal Al Ghad on Wednesday.
The project is to include some administrative buildings as well as 15 residential towers, besides 200 villas over 41.8 feddans, they added.
Property developer Talaat Moustafa Group and Concrete Plus for Engineering and Construction are responsible for developing the villas within the project’s first phase, the sources said.
Meanwhile, Redcon Construction and another private-sector company will develop the buildings, the sources added.
The Egyptian Ministry of Housing said it is planning to complete works on the project’s first phase at the end of June 2022.
