Average yields fell sharply on 5.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($902.53 million) of treasury bills auctioned by Egypt’s central bank on Thursday, the Ministry of Finance said.
The average yield on 2 billion pounds of 182-day T-bills dropped to 14.248 percent, its lowest since November last year, from 15.096 percent at an auction on Sept. 6.
The yield on 3.5 billion pounds of 357-day bills fell to 15.007 percent from 15.931 percent at an auction on Aug. 21.
The central bank sold all the bills it had offered on behalf of the finance ministry.
