The average yield on 91-day Egyptian treasury bills eased slightly at an auction on Sunday while those on 273-day bills inched higher, the Central Bank of Egypt said.
The average yield on the 91-day bills was 14.193 percent, down from 14.196 percent at last week’s auction. The bank sold 1 billion Egyptian pounds, the same amount it had offered.
On the 273-day bills it was 15.714 percent, up from 15.669 percent at the last issue on July 24. The bank sold 4 billion pounds, the same amount it had sought.
The central bank, which sells the bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, sold the same amount it had offered.
