XIAOMI launches Redmi Note 2 smartphone in Egypt via Souq.com

Souq.com, the leading online retailer in the Middle East, announced Sunday signing a partnership with Chinese tech giant XIAOMY to launch its newest smartphone product, XIAOMI Redmi Note 2 exclusively on Souq website.

XIAOMI created 13 different models of smartphones since founded in 2010 and sold more than 100 million devices worldwide. XIAOMI constitutes a vigorous competitor in the Egyptian smartphones market since it offers high technology smartphones with reasonable prices.

Xiaomi is a privately owned company that designs, develops, and sells smartphones, an Android-based OS, and other consumer electronics. Xiaomi also makes fitness trackers, TVs, air purifiers, and tablets.

XIAOMI Redmi Note 2 comes with a 4.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels at a PPI of 312 pixels per inch.

The Xiaomi Redmi 2 is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and it comes with 1GB of RAM. The phone packs 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 packs a 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 runs Android 4.4 and is powered by a 2200mAh removable battery. It measures 134.00 x 67.20 x 9.40 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 133.00 grams.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts two Micro-SIMs. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. XIAOMI Redmi Note 2 will be soon available to customers on souq.com
