The External Affairs and Legal Director for Vodafone Egypt Mr. Khaled Hegazy revealed that his company has 200 solar powered plants across republic.
Vodafone seeks boosting the numbers of plants especially in desert roads and remote areas.
He pointed out that relying on solar cells for power generation needs to large areas and certain environmental conditions, which cannot be supplied in conventional plants on rooftops and others.
Meanwhile, Vodafone ruled out the depend on solar and alternative energies in order to operate mobile phone strengthen stations which affiliated to it so as to face the decision of raising fuel prices.
The 3 mobile phone operators are currently studying the effect of fuel prices on their mobile services, Hegazy spoke to Amwal Al Ghad.
