Vodafone Egypt Foundation has carried out developmental projects totalling 350 million Egyptian pounds ($39 million) nationwide since its inception in 2003, said its head on Tuesday.
Vodafone Egypt Foundation was established in 2003 as a non-profit foundation registered, funded by Vodafone Egypt and Vodafone Group Foundation. It is considered one of 29 Vodafone Foundations around the world.
Mohamed Henna, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Vodafone Egypt Foundation, further said in a press conference the Foundation’s programmes focus on improving the educational environment and scientific research through partnerships with scientific communities like Nile University (NU).
Henna further added that his Foundation also put forward a number of programmes to screen for cardiovascular diseases at schools in addition to literacy schemes and rehabilitation for people with disabilities.
