The events of Entrepreneur project, financed by US Agency for International Development USAID, for supporting SMEs in Egypt started this morning.
The project is based on the idea of supporting the Egyptian entrepreneurs in expanding their work by using modern communication technologies notably on social networks.
The project allows entrepreneurs and consultants to establish professional groups in various fields, with focus on women and youth.
Walter North, USAID Mission Director, in his speech during the opening session, emphasized on the necessity of communicating with business community via social networks, which represent growth’s pillars to provide openings. He expected that the number of beneficiaries, whether entrepreneurs or consultants, will reach 10.000 ones.
The inaugural conference attended by a number of entrepreneurs, academics, officials and board’s directors of Egyptian companies, was to discuss the needs of SMEs and the possibility of having professional communities through the project. This is to serve the entrepreneurs and to achieve their growth’s aims.
This project is one of the USAID’s most important ones; aiming to support the most important Egyptian goals which is developing Egypt’s human resources in order to enhance competitive experience and innovation which will help Egyptian economy.
