Union National Bank – Egypt To Discuss Conducting Islamic Banking Transactions In March

Union National Bank – Egypt’s ordinary general assembly will be held on March 30th.

After receiving an approval from the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA), the general assembly will be held to discuss amending the article no. 5 of the bank’s statute to be able to offer Islamic banking transactions.

The bank’s ordinary general assembly will discuss the board of directors’ report about the bank’s activities and financial position for the fiscal year that ended on December 31st 2012, auditors’ report, financial statements and profit distribution list submitted by the board of directors.

The general assembly will grant discharge from liability to the board members and inform the assembly’s members with the changes made to the board of directors in the year that ended on December 31st 2012. The assembly will also discuss the attendance and travel allowances and bonuses to be offered to the board members in 2013 and renew the appointments of auditors.
