UK engineering specialist Keller wins contract in Egypt’s Port Said

by Yomna Yasser

UK Keller Group announced that it has been awarded a “major” contract in Port Said in Egypt, valued at around £60 million ($73.7 million).
The FTSE 250 ground engineering specialist further said the contract for ground improvement works forms part of the development by the Egyptian Government of the eastern shore of Port Said, along the newly created navigation channels of the Suez Canal.

Work is expected to begin imminently and to be completed by the third quarter of next year, the company said.

“This significant project win in the Middle East demonstrates the continued development of Keller in this important region. This is the group’s second recent major award, following the award of the £50 million contract in Abu Dhabi announced in August.” Keller’s Chief executive Alain Michaelis said.
