The U.S. has at least 1,201.337 coronavirus cases, with more than 70,847 deaths as of Tuesday, according to Johns Hopkins University’s tally of cases.
The country reported 21,049 new cases and 1,925 deaths, Hopkins University data showed on Tuesday.
The tallies include cases from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and other US territories, in addition repatriated cases.
Over 13,700 coronavirus deaths in New York City
New York has more than 13,724 confirmed coronavirus deaths as of Tuesday, in addition to at least 5,383 probable coronavirus deaths, according to the city website.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus deaths and probable coronavirus deaths in New York City is 19,107.
The New York City Health Department defines probable deaths as people who did not have a positive coronavirus laboratory test, but their death certificate enlists the cause of death as “COVID-19” or an equivalent.
