Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Tuesday that he aims to increase Türkiye’s foreign trade to $1 billion through investment and exports.
During his ruling party election’s bid, Erdoğan stated the government targets attracting 90 million tourists through expanded investments. This would enable the sector of tourism to achieve annual returns of $100 million.
The president also referred to his government’s goal to reduce unemployment rate by around seven percent in upcoming five years.
Additionally, the government plans to increase Gross National Income (GNI) to eventually reach $2 billion. Production is aspired to reach 132 million tons in the agricultural field, and 750 thousand tons in marine production field.
