TIEC, Intel organise Egypt IoT League

The Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) will launch the Internet of Things (IoT) League  in cooperation with Intel Egypt. It is a nationwide acceleration program for startups that have innovative ideas starting from June till September; registration deadline is on June 20.

The program covers the area of Internet of Things (IoT) and related fields such as smart solutions, smart home, smart city, smart energy, connected cars, wearables and others. The program unites resources and experience of the organizers and their respective partners to avail all the required materials, mentors and expertise to the participating projects. Egypt IoT League accepts senior university students, graduates of related schools and young entrepreneurs.

The top five innovative IoT ideas and projects from across Egypt will be selected for acceleration and financial awards to support them in developing their products and services. Selected potential startups will receive support in the form of mentoring, access to business and technological resources of organizers and potential investments.
Participants will enjoy access to resources, innovation, support from the mentors network and ecosystem of the organizers and network with top-notch investors in Egypt. Projects may be submitted either individually or in teams (up to five members per team).

The program will start with IoT Ideation Camp that will be organized at Bahna from July 11 till July 13 and then a series of camps and hackathons that will be held in other governorates, including Minya, Cairo, Assiut, Mansoura and Alexandria during July and August. Egypt IoT League Closed Camp will be held in the first week of September.
