Last year Hamilton released the superb Thin-O-Matic, now the 2012 Intra-Matic model confirms what we already knew – Hamilton have the knack for vintage styling at attainable prices – this is one which you could easily slip into your collection without any justification.
We first saw this piece lounging on a Hodinkee wrist back in January, now here it is looking supercool reclining on an equally retro-tastic microphone – and isn’t wristwatch photography getting better and better?
Two case sizes will be available, 38mm and 42mm, stainless steel or gold PVD both with nicely trimmed bezel and squared-off lugs, and it’s slender too at just under 7mm.
Everything about the styling is 100% nice – eye-lash slim markers, straight no-nonsense hands, curvaceous domed crystal and the fabulous “H” logo on both the dial and the crown. It’s simple, it’s pure, it works. Inside is a Swiss automatic ETA calibre 2892-2 with water resistance to 50m.
The Hamilton Intra-Matic is now available, presented on either black leather strap or stainless steel bracelet.
