Preparations are now completed for the largest, liveliest, and most important CABSAT convention in the show’s history, as CABSAT opens tomorrow in Dubai’s International Convention and Exhibition Centre traders and professional visitors will be welcomed into the biggest electronic media event ever staged in the Middle East and North Africa region, alongside this comprehensive exhibition will be a conference, workshops and specialist presentations addressing the real issues of the day from satellite technology to social media.
This year’s exhibition brings together more than 800 companies from 42 countries around the world, including 14 national pavilions, so this impressive presence reflects the huge importance of the region, which was also expected by the International Association of Broadcast Monitor “IABM” research stating that this market will witness a growth of 2 billion dollars by 2015.
The world wide major manufacturers always choose CABSAT to launch their new technologies, as Harris Company unveiled its “Selenio processing platform” at CABSAT 2011, and it is expected that more impressive technologies will be released in 2012.
Trixee Loh – senior vice president of Dubai World Trade Center Exhibitions; the organizer of CABSAT- said that “There is no doubt that the satellite and broadcasting industry in the Middle East and North Africa is creatively rich and commercially dynamic”, he also added “By working closely with a thriving industry and our partners such as twofour54, we have made some exciting new developments at CABSAT which continue to reinforce the show’s position as a global industry leader”.
One of the exhibition highlights will be the first outside broadcast truck ever to be built in the UAE; this truck will be one of the many attractions in the outdoor exhibit area.
CABSAT 2012 will witness the participation of many leading vendors and connectivity major companies such as CISCO; that is participating in CABSAT for the first time.
