The Egyptian Telecom Ministry and Alexandria University yesterday signed a new protocol regarding using information and communication technology systems in developing Alexandria University hospitals and provides better health services.
Eng. Atef Helmy, the Egyptian Telecom Minister asserted that the draft comes among shifting technology strategy which aims to improve the working atmosphere with the governmental services that provided to the citizens and to raise the efficiency the workers’ performance by implementing more than 40 cooperation protocols with various governmental authorities.
Helmy explained that the protocol will support the development efforts for health services systems for Alexandria University hospitals and to save the time and effort for citizens through using information technology, along with facilitating the extraction indicators supporting the decision-making levels of senior management, and facilitate the measures of free medical services to citizens.
The protocol includes establishing technological infrastructure including internal local information networks, it also allows the opportunity for the domestic firms specializing in information technology to take part in the draft and provide fresh job vacancies for youths.
