Telecom Egypt goes all-out for comprehensive services after 4G licence

Telecom Egypt, the state-owned landline monopoly, is warming up to provide bunches of comprehensive communications services as soon as it receives the necessary frequencies, said chief executive Tamer Gadallah on Tuesday.

“We have pumped large investments to upgrade our infrastructure and networks to relay on fibre optic cables to offer optimal services to our clients.” Gadallah added.

Earlier, Telecom Egypt signed in August a deal to acquire the country’s first fourth-generation (4G) mobile licence, paving the way for it to become the fourth mobile provider in Egypt.

Telecom Egypt has a great communications network and works in a prominent market that provides an abundance of opportunities to investors, he said.
