Telecom Egypt (TE)(ETAL-CA) has signed new agreement with the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) in order to update the information network which affiliated to the bank through using developed network based on fiber-optic technology with total value up EGP90 million against obtaining the service for 5 years.
This agreement will give the bank the possibility of upgrading the service to the high speeds of up to 10 GB / s.
Throughout this contract, TE has provided next-generation services of fiber-optic technology communicating network with distinct prices without bearing high-costs capital investments, so NBE will be enabled to obtain integrated package as the best internet and telecom services with low-costs covering all the branches and locations.
Hisham Okasha, Chairman of NBE explained that the Board of Directors interested in providing telecom services in the light of the development and reforms since 2008.
Mahmoud Montasr, Vice-Chairman of NBE stressed his confidence for TE in responding to all the needs of NBE, in addition, NBE is the largest national bank in Egypt and it has many branches serving a number of customers.
Mohamed Al-Nawawi , CEO of TE said this agreement will confirm TE’s commitment towards the Egyptian market through providing the strongest and high-speed telecom services in accordance with the qualities and high-efficiency standards.
Furthermore, TE is seeking to provide secure systems with high-technology and competitive prices for institutions and companies to continue its steps in order to obtain the integrated operator telecom license.
