Switzerland is providing Egypt with an annual financial assistance worth $ 23 million with the aim of supporting the Egyptian government and private sector.
Markus Leitner – Switzerland Ambassador to Egypt – stated that his country is providing Egypt’s government as well as private sector with an annual financial assistance amounts to $ 23 million, seeking to allure investors to the North African country’s market.
Over the past 3 years, Switzerland had granted Egypt’s government a 30 million Swiss franc aid package in order to support its democratic transition process and economy, Ambassador Leitner noted.
Moreover, the Swiss ambassador said he expects the upcoming period will witness a greater role from Switzerland to assist in Egypt’s current transitional phase.
