Sony Mobile has already introduced three new smartphones earlier this month at CES (Consumers Electronics Show), but the Japanese company saved the best devices for Mobile World Congress (MWC), which will debut late next month.
One of the most expected Sony smartphones is probably the Xperia XZ Pro, the best of the best, top-of-the-line, one to rule them all, and possibly the company’s most expensive handset. The Xperia XZ Pro will be unveiled slightly ahead of MWC, but it will be showcased at the trade fair in February/March.
According to a leaked document, Sony’s flagship will boast a stunning 5.7-inch OLED display with 4K resolution. I know many of you think that’s overkill, but let’s give Sony props for trying to make 4K displays mainstream.
On the inside, the Xperia XZ Pro will be equipped with a Snapdragon 845 processor, so there’s no surprise here. The powerful chipset will be coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory.
Sony Xperia XZ Pro is said to include a dual-camera on the back: an 18-megapixel sensor with a pixel size of 1.33μm, along with a second 12-megapixel sensor with a pixel size of 1.38μm. Also, there will be a third 13-megapixel selfie snapper in the front.
Last but not least, Sony’s flagship will feature IP68 certification and 3,420 mAh battery. The phone will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo and it will be available in both single- and dual-SIM versions.
