Many e-marketing managers at local and international companies have a greed that the number of social networking websites users grow steadily and may reach up to 90% monthly. They pointed out that communicating with the users via these websites would sustain other marketing strategies such as direct communication and advertising on traditional media.
Omar Rostom, Digital Marketing Manager at Nokia North Africa, stated that digital advertising is the best way for establishing effective communication with the customers. He explained that the number of Facebook users in Egypt has reached about 11.5 million.
He added that networking websites are the main pillars that Nokia depended on for marketing its latest products in the Egyptian market, Nokia Maps 3D and Qwerty.
These campaigns have achieved great success; the number of views of the video posted on You Tube has increased up to 300%, in addition to an increase in the page followers,whose number has hiked by 10% by the end of the campaign.
