Sisi meets Vodafone CEO

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi received Vittorio Colao, CEO of Vodafone on Wednesday in the presence Communication and Information Technology, said Minister Yasser El Qady, Spokesman for Presidency Alaa Yousef. 

During the meeting, Sisi greeted the worldwide company for their long-standing activities and investments in the telecommunications sector in Egypt, Yousef added.

In addition, the Egyptian President praised the company’s projects in health, education, agriculture sectors.

For his part, Colao outlined the expansion of his company’s activities in Egypt which resulted in creating more job opportunities. He pointed further to the available mega investments in the telecommunication and technology sectors, Yousef asserted.

Colao also said that his company wishes to pump more investments on the Egyptian market and expand on other markets.

Sisi assured that The Egyptian State is very keen on developing the telecommunication sector and seeks to make a quantum leap at the level and quality of communication services offered to citizens and also in various economic sectors.

The Egyptian president addressed the State’s plans to establish technology areas in a number of Egyptian cities so as to build a strategy base to serve telecommunication and information technology companies.
