Sisi launches Arab Ministerial Conference on 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda

Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi inaugurated Wednesday the Ministerial Conference on “Implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda in Arab Countries – the Social Dimensions”.

During his speech , Sisi asserted that Egypt’s patronage of the Ministerial conference comes as pursuant to state’s belief that the current period requires all Arab efforts to be concerted to achieve goals of 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.

The conference was attended by Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and a number of work and development Arab ministers in addition to Chairman of United Nations Development Programme Helen Clark.

President al-Sisi clarified that the conference is held in circumstances in which Arab nation is passing through tough challenges in all political, security, economic, and social sides notably the terrorism issue.

He noted that the conference is a great chance to evaluate the developmental issues in Arab region, asserting  that Egypt is paying huge attention to human development.
