Siemens S.A.E. announces integration of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics in Egypt

 Siemens, the global powerhouse in electronics and electrical engineering operating in the energy, infrastructure, industry and healthcare sectors, today announced that Siemens S.A.E. has completed the integration of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics (DX) in a move that recognizes the importance of personalized medicine as an engine for the continued success in the healthcare field. In the new setup, Siemens S.A.E. will be able to offer new and unique diagnostic capabilities as well as streamline the company’s customer approach.

Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics is a global leader in clinical diagnostics, providing healthcare professionals at hospital, reference laboratories, specialty laboratories and point-of-care settings (including clinics and physician offices) with the vital information required to accurately diagnose, treat, and monitor patients.

To celebrate the integration, Siemens S.A.E. held a reception event to welcome the new members into Siemens Egypt’s medical workforce. The event was attended by Mr. Erich Kaeser, Executive Advisor of Siemens Middle East and top management of the Healthcare Sector in Siemens Healthcare Egypt, and in the presence of Mr. Mohamed El-Mahdi, CEO of Siemens Egypt.

 

This integration uniquely positions Siemens in Egypt to bring new, innovative solutions to the region and to expand our presence in attractive diagnostic markets,” stated Mr. El-Mahdi, during the event. “Healthcare is a key pillar in building a sustainable and productive society. Our strengthened position enables us to execute on our strategic focus to address the greatest health challenges. We would like also to welcome the addition of Siemens DX’s highly experienced employees to Siemens S.A.E.”

“The finalization of the integration will leverage Siemens leading position in the healthcare sector in Egypt and is considered a new milestone in Siemens’ strategic target to become a full service diagnostic company” said Eng. Mohamed El Wetidy, Healthcare Country Sector Lead.

The Siemens Healthcare Sector is one of the world’s largest suppliers to the healthcare industry and a trendsetter in medical imaging, laboratory diagnostics, medical information technology and hearing aids.
