SFD eyes Small Enterprises Licence Unit in Suez Canal’s HQ

Egypt’s Social Fund for Development (SFD) is ready to establish a licence unit for the small enterprises in Suez Canal’s administrative building, Managing Director Soha Soliman said Monday.

The unit is to facilitate the procedures to start small enterprises as well as to organise permanent exhibitions for the their products.

Soliman stated that SFD’s participation in developing the New Suez Canal does not include providing funds only but also helping in issuing the licences and the promotion.

The official told reporters that SFD is taking part in several fields in this national project as the development plan includes a number of projects that will serve different axes such as road networks and carrying out industrial and service projects.

The Social Fund for Development is to do vocational training courses on the activities that New Canal needs, Soliman promised, noting that SFD’s offices in all canal governorates have a list of available investment opportunities with their feasibility studies.
