Samsung Egypt -Beni Suef factory announced recently for its starting to export local LED screens manufacture to a number of European countries, as well as there are plans to expand in the exportable factories such as Asia, Africa.
It is worth mentioning that Samsung Egypt plant is the first plant established by the company in the Middle East and Africa.
Kinam Lee, Samsung Egyptian factory CEO said since the inception of the plant in July2013, Samsung worked well to manufacture the best LED screens in the Egyptian market, as Samsung owns experience and knowledge which makes it a leader in the field of manufacturing screens not only at locally but also globally.
Samsung pumped EGP1.8 billion investments aware of Egypt’s status as one of the largest and most important markets in the Middle East and Africa, it is expected that this plant will contribute in supporting the Egyptian economy, as through it Egypt will turn into a center for exporting Samsung’s products.
Lee asserted that the company actually started to achieve this support since November 2013, as it began to export its screens locally for Netherlands and Slovakia as it exported around 10.000 screens until now.
It is expected that Samsung plant will export for each Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Algeria and Morocco within 2014, stressing that the plant has most advanced equipments which work in accordance with the best technological styles to provide high-quality products.
The factory produced half million LED screens at the end of 2013, as the local market was supplied by 79% of the total produced computer screens while the remaining export of the (21%) has been exported Also Samsung works to increase the volume of production for up to three times the current size of production in 2014, with an annual growth rate of the factory’s production is currently 184%, and the factory aims to produce a total volume of 8 million device by 2017.
The factory will provide thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities for Beni Suef citizens, who have received the latest technology training at the Samsung Academy to prepare them to use the most advanced equipment in the factory, is an extremely positive sign for investors seeking to expand in the Egyptian market.
