Raya IT to sign data centre capacity deal with 4 Egyptian banks this year

Egypt’s Raya Information Technology, a subsidiary of Raya Holding, is planning this year to enter into a significant agreement with four state-run and private banks on delivery of data centre capacity.

Building a data centre for the four banks will lead to an investment of 280 million Egyptian pounds ($15.7 million).

Raya IT has completed building and furnishing one of the biggest data centres for the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), at estimated cost of 150 million pounds, its chief executive Hesham Abdel Rassoul told Amwal Al Ghad on Tuesday.
