Egypt-based Raya Holding, leading IT and telecommunications company, plans to inaugurate its new smart commercial complex GALLERIA40 within next March.
In this respect, Ayman El Halaby – CEO of Raya Smart Building – said his company had rented 60% of total space of the complex dedicated for the commercial stores. Raya Smart Building is currently targeting marketing the administrative headquarters and offices, he added.
Located at the heart of West Cairo GALLERIA40 has been designed to be a model for sustainability and energy efficiency and, with its unique selling proposition to the Egyptian market, is the first commercial building in the country to comply with international business standards of green building through the LEED program registration, by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), and the first to meet the LEED Gold Certification.
Furthermore, El Halaby referred that the Group’s total investments in the smart commercial complex project had reached 500 million Egyptian pounds (around US$70 million).
Raya Holding has allocated 700 million pounds for investing in its current 3 smart buildings; one is located in the Smart Village, another in New Cairo city, and GALLERIA40 in the sixth of October City, he added.
