Public Funds Prosecution Asks CBE About Convicted Former Regime Figures’ Bank Accounts

The judicial committee constituted by the Public Funds Prosecution has started the required procedures to collect the financial sanctions imposed by courts against former regime figures including Ahmed Ezz and Rachid Mohamed Rachid.

The committee asked the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) about the secret bank accounts of those convicted. It also addressed the Public Funds Investigation Department about the real estate properties of them to be frozen if liquid funds are not sufficient.
