Principal Bank for Development and Agricultural Credit (PBDAC) targets to increase micro-enterprises loan portfolio to EGP 900 million before the end of FY 2012/2013, said Mohsen El-Batran, chairman of PBDAC.
El-Batran added in an interview with Amwal Al Ghad that the Bank has expanded in financing agricultural micro-enterprises in Fayoum, Beni Suef, Behera, Qalyobia and Cairo.
El-Batran affirmed that the Bank’s strategy is based on supporting farmers, adding that micro, small and medium enterprises represent a basis for large industries and an important factor for growth.
Amwal Al Ghad was informed that there are negotiations between PBDAC and SFD over a finance with value of EGP 50 million to EGP 100 million to finance micro-enterprises.
