OTMT Tops Egypt Bourse’s Volumes Traded in May

In May, Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding S.A.E. topped volumes traded by the ten active firms listed in the Egyptian Exchange, with 1.352 billion securities.

OTMT’s (OTMT.CA on EGX) amount of turnovers hit around EGP 1.789 billion through last month trading sessions.

Amer Group Holding (AMER.CA on EGX) ranked second as its volume of trades amounted to 955.8 million securities worth EPG 1.428 billion.

Egyptian Resorts – ERC (EGTS.CA on EGX) came third reporting a volume of trades of 445.3 million securities worth EGP 853.7 million.

Fourthly, Palm Hills Development (PHDC.CA) had a volume of trades hit 337.7 million securities worth EGP 1.489 billion.

Fifthly, Citadel Capital (CCAP.CA on EGX) had a volume of trades reached 288.2 million securities worth 1.306 billion.

Sixthly, Arab Investment and Development (formerly AIC Contracting) (AIND.CA on EGX) recorded a volume of trades reached 211.5 million securities worth EGP 463.7 million.

Electro Cable Egypt (ELEC.CA on EGX) came seventh having a volume of trades reached 201.3 million securities worth EGP 341 million.

Global Telecom Holding (GTH) (GTHE.CA on EGX) (Previously Orascom Telecom Holding S.A.E.) has been ranked eighth as its volume of trades amounted to 153.3 million securities worth EGP 822.8 million.

Arab Cotton Ginning (ACGC.CA) has been ninth reporting a volume of trades reached 134.7 million securities worth EGP 845 million.

At the bottom of the list, Upper Egypt Contracting (UEGC.CA) has come tenth recording a volume of trades reached 133.6 million securities worth EGP 351.7 million.
