Mr. Oscar Onyema, Chairman of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), has asserted that the current management will increase its partnership with the private sector to develop the rates of the local investments in the fields of petroleum and gas. He added that in the late 1950s, Nigeria discovered the petroleum to be one of the first countries in Africa.
He mentioned that they are mulling over establishing national petroleum companies can be listed in the stock exchange, as there are new changes on the laws allow the state and individuals to establish petroleum and gas companies.
The petroleum sector in Nigeria continually grow not only in the capitals but in all cities, and the government grants more licenses to enable developing the small refineries.
