A consortium of Egypt’s Orascom Construction and UAE water and wastewater project developer Metito has delivered a $130 million seawater desalination plant in East Port Said, Metito announced in a statement on Sunday.
The plant is with a total capacity of 150,000 cubic metres per day (cbm/d), expected to serve almost 1 million citizens. It will minimise its environmental impact by disposing of wastewater safely and employing energy-saving technologies.
