Orange Egypt eyes new customer service centre in Assiut

France’s largest telecoms company Orange SA is planning to pump investments in the new technology parks, including Assiut Technology Park in Egypt to establish a customer service centre in Upper Egypt’s governorate.

Orange agreed with Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser ElKady to support and fund the emerging Egyptian technology companies during his visit to Paris, through digital projects sponsored by the company.

ElKady held meetings with some of executive administration of Orange SA, Orange Egypt’s CEO, visited Orange Smart Store, and Orange Innovation Centre in France.

The Innovation Centre viewed the most updated innovations in 5G technology that will be launched in some countries by 2020, and Orange seeks to top the operating firms of 5G technology.

Egypt’s minister and Orange officials discussed the available opportunities for telecommunications operators in the fields of mobile money transfer, payment via mobile, using the modern communication technologies in energy and agriculture as well as in smart complexes and cybersecurity.
