The mobile quality of service QOS Report issued by the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) for the fourth quarter of 2012 and ended last December, has revealed a remarkable improvement in the voice services ,affected in some areas due to cable failures and acts of theft and destruction.
NTRA’s results have revealed the commitment of the Egyptian Mobile Services (Mobinil)-(EMOB.CA) with all mobile quality of service QOS in Egypt in voice services or data transmission services.
NTRA has indicated in its report that Mobinil is the only mobile network, which has not reported any violations against the quality standards throughout 2012, in both of voice services or data transmission services.
The financial statements of Mobinil has disclosed achieving a net loss of EGP 231 million within 2012.
Mobinil has explained that the net loss declined with 8.6% to shrink from EGP 250.777 million during 2011 to EGP 231 million in 2012.
Mobinil ‘s revenues has raised to 1.6% during 2012 to reach EGP 10.339 billion as compared to EGP 10.181 billion in 2011.
The number of Mobinil’s subscribers within 2012 reached 32.77 million subscribers as compared to 31.57 with increase about 3.7% from the number of subscribers.
