New Aswan Apparatus intends to hold a tender within two weeks for establishing 94 buildings, at a cost of EGP 200 million, in the social housing project.
Eng. Hazem Arafa stated that the number of apartments that will be implemented in this phase reaches 1880. He added that these apartments will be launched by the next month, noting that the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has approved the launch of 8.000 apartments which did not meet their estimated value.
He explained that the Apparatus has finalized 70% of the implementation of a new water plant, which is to be completed by the middle of next year at a cost of EGP 120 million. He further pointed out that the Apparatus has obtained EGP 240 million from the government’s budget for the fiscal year of 2012-2013, to be used in financing water and sanitation projects at the city, in addition to establishing the utilities and apartments of the social housing project.
