New Aswan City Apparatus is preparing for the 6 tenders to be held next November for choosing the contracting companies that will be responsible for establishing 94 buildings in the social housing project.
Eng. Hazem Arafa, chairman of the Apparatus, stated that the phase that will be launched next month will include 1880 apartments, given that each building will comprise 20 apartments.
He pointed out that a new water plant will be built in Aswan, adding that the first phase will be launched at a cost of EGP 120 million. The plant will be launched in 3 phases, for providing 25 thousands cubic meters of water per day. He also noted that the Apparatus has received EGP 240 million from the government budget of the fiscal year (2012-2013) for carrying out water and sanitation projects, in addition to building the apartments of the social housing project located in New Aswan and providing them with utilities.
