The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) is considering financing around 49 new clients with EGP2.2billion total facilities and it is schedule for the bank to take its decision within the upcoming phase after finalizing the economic feasibility studies for the new clients, Sherif Riad NBE’s head of corporate banking said.
The total portfolio of its sector reached EGP14.4 billion at the end of last February, including EGP8.9 billion direct facilities and EGP5.5 billion indirect facilities, the numbers of clients boosted to 190, Riad noted.
NBE succeeded to allure 29 new clients with EGP1.234 billion total facilities in 2013, and the bank pumped EGP1.005 billion credit facilities for 31 clients in the same period, Riad quoted Amwal Al Ghad Arabic’s Website.
