On the sidelines of the symposium held by NBE today to introduce the banking transactions and technologies, Ihab said NBE conducted  97% of the total value of the electronic payments and allocated 93 branches for conducting such payments. Working hours at such branches were extended to 5 p.m. The bank also contributed to collecting customs electronically through its branches nearby to ports.

NBE has a leading role in collecting government dues electronically as it signed a number of agreements with the Ministry of Finance to transfer the salary of 600,000 employees to the bank.
